Privacy notice

Last updated:

This notice explains what personal data we collect when you visit akollo.com or contact us, why we use it, and the rights you have. It is written for the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1.Who we are

The data controller for this website is Akollo (“Akollo”, “we”).

When our customers use the Akollo product, they decide what data is processed about their employees and we act on their instructions as a data processor. That processing is governed by the customer's agreement with us and the customer's own privacy notice, not by this page.

2.Data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the website and answer you:

  • Contact and demo requests: your name, work email, company, team size and the message you write.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, kept in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
  • Preferences: a cookie that remembers the language you chose. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3.Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We use contact data to reply to you, arrange a demo and prepare a quote: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (KVKK Article 5(2)(c); GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

We use technical data to keep the website secure and available, which is our legitimate interest (KVKK Article 5(2)(f); GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Where a law requires us to keep or disclose data, we do so to meet that legal obligation (KVKK Article 5(2)(ç); GDPR Article 6(1)(c)).

4.Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that host and operate our website and email on our behalf, under written agreements that require them to protect it, and with public authorities when the law requires.

We do not sell personal data.

5.Transfers outside Turkey

If a service provider processes data outside Turkey, we transfer it only on a basis permitted by KVKK Article 9, such as standard contractual clauses notified to the Personal Data Protection Authority, and, for data subject to the GDPR, with equivalent safeguards.

6.How long we keep it

We keep contact and demo requests for as long as needed to handle them and for a reasonable follow-up period, then delete or anonymise them unless a legal retention period applies. Server logs are kept for a short, fixed period for security purposes.

7.Your rights

Under KVKK Article 11 and, where applicable, the GDPR, you can:

  • learn whether we process your personal data and request information about it;
  • learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used for that purpose;
  • know the third parties, in Turkey or abroad, to whom it is transferred;
  • ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected;
  • ask for your data to be deleted or destroyed, and for those it was shared with to be notified;
  • object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis;
  • claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

8.How we protect it

We use encryption in transit, access controls and logging to protect personal data, and limit access to the people who need it to do their job.

9.Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page.

To exercise your rights or ask a question about this notice, write to [email protected]. We will reply within the time limits set by law, at the latest within 30 days.
