Run sprints and releases without losing track of the requests

Backlog, sprint board and releases in one project. Requests from the rest of the company arrive through forms, and the hours behind every ticket are counted as the work happens.

How software teams take work from backlog to release

One project holds the backlog, the sprint, the release and the hours, so nobody keeps a second list on the side.

  1. Projects

    Rank the backlog

Stories, bugs and requests in one ranked list, estimated in story points, hours or item count, whichever your team uses.

  2. Resource planning

Plan a sprint the team can finish

Pull work from the top of the backlog and check who is on leave or booked elsewhere before the sprint starts.

  3. Boards and workflows

    Move work with clear rules

Columns with work-in-progress limits, and transitions that can ask for a comment, a done checklist or no open blockers.

  4. Time tracking

Count the hours without timesheet Fridays

Start a timer on the ticket, or let the desktop agent credit time to the task you picked, and correct it when it is wrong.

  5. Releases

    Ship and write the notes

Link items to a release, decide where open ones go, and download release notes grouped by item type.

The views engineering teams live in

They all read the same items, so a card moved on the board is already right in the backlog, the timeline and the report.

Kanban or Scrum columns mapped to your statuses, with swimlanes and quick filters written in the query language.

  • Work-in-progress limits per column
  • Swimlanes you can collapse
  • Filters like owner = currentUser()

What you can finally measure

Engineering work leaves a trail of tickets. These come from that trail, without a separate spreadsheet.

  • Velocity and sprint scope

Committed against completed work per sprint, and how much was added or removed after the sprint started.

  • Cycle time

How long items take from start to done, so you can see whether review or testing is where work waits.

  • Hours per epic and release

Every logged or measured hour rolls up to its item, epic and release, ready for the next estimate or a cost question.

Let the assistant write the tickets

Akollo AI reads your backlog, sprints and hours, and nothing changes until you confirm it.

Questions software teams ask

Is there a query language like the one we use in Jira?

Yes. Search uses a query language, for example owner = currentUser() AND statusCategory != "done". Save the result as a filter or a board quick filter and share it with the project.

Can we move our Jira projects to Akollo?

Yes, and not all at once. Connect Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center, pick the projects, review fields, comments, attachments and history, and accept each part once its exceptions are resolved.

Moving from Jira
How does Akollo compare with Jira?

Both handle backlogs, boards and sprints. Akollo adds time tracking, resource planning and project cost in the same app, and can run on your own servers.

Akollo and Jira compared
How do other teams send us requests?

Through request forms with the fields you need. Each request lands in the project's triage, where the team accepts it, declines it with a reason, marks it as a duplicate or snoozes it.

Can our scripts reach Akollo?

Yes. The public API is versioned and documented with OpenAPI, and keys are limited to the scopes they need. Inbound webhooks accept signed events from other systems.
